How a Jaguar Smart Key Works
Jaguar smart key enables you to lock and unlock the vehicle from a distance. Like all electronic devices, it's powered by a battery.
Your car may show a decrease in its effective range of signals if the Smart Key battery begins to go out of service. The center for messages may display an alert "SMART-KEY BATTERY LACKS".
Keyless Entry
With this feature, you'll be able to enter your Jaguar without having to search through your purse or pockets. The system uses proximity sensors to detect the Jaguar Smart Key fob, that triggers your XE's automatic opening. Take any door handle, and the vehicle will open and disarm itself as you get closer. If the battery in the Smart Key fob is low you will hear a sound warning and you will see "SMART KEY Battery Low" that appears in the middle of the display. Remove the chrome cover from the key fob and slide out the CR2032 batteries. Replace them with a new one that is facing upwards.
Improved Security
Jaguar offers the option of keyless entry on a variety of models, which means you don't have to mess around with your keys before you head out for your Irvine commute.
